It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John Austin, an Honorary Member of Bowls England, on Wednesday, 19th February.
John was a devoted figure in the bowls community, serving as Oxfordshire President in 1996 and later as President of the English Bowling Association in 2000. His leadership, passion, and dedication to the sport were widely respected.
Our thoughts are with his wife, Freddie, their family, and friends during this difficult time. Funeral arrangements will be shared in due course.
The service will take place on Tuesday, 1st April 2025, at 2:30 PM, at All Saints Church, Church Lane, Croughton, NN13 5LS.
Johns’ contribution to the Bowls community will always be remembered, and our thoughts remain with his family and friends at this difficult time.
