We have received a very sad message from Ken Brown , President of OUP Bowls Club.
In a letter to our County Secretary he says:
I write to inform you that our bowls club will close at the end of this season.
I was told yesterday that Oxford University Press will permanently close the Sports Club and ground on the 30th September this year. This will allow us to complete this year's fixture list.
It is a shame after 100 years at this site, but it is understandable from their point of view.
