I have received the very sad news that Mark Kirby has passed away. Mark was encouraged to take up the game of bowls by his brother-in-law Paul Mabbutt at Summertown BC. When Summertown closed in 2004, Mark moved to Headington BC with both Paul and his father-in-law Brian Mabbutt. Mark was a good competitive club bowler, a very dependable and friendly person. It was a delight to be in his company, and he will be sadly missed.
The funeral will be held at midday on Tuesday 31st March, at St Swithun’s Church in Kennington.
