Please see below a sad message from fellow Chipping Norton member Paul Killackey on the passing of Derek Hamilton . As well as all the attributes that Paul lists within his own club, Derek enjoyed going on other Clubs tours whenever possible and was just as popular with other Clubs bowlers as his own.
Derek Hamilton, a beloved member of the lawn bowling community, passed away peacefully. Known for his skill and sportsmanship, Derek was a cherished fixture at Chipping Norton Bowls Club and Little Compton Bowls Club, where he brought joy and camaraderie to friends and fellow players alike. His dedication to the game and warm personality left a lasting impression on all who knew him. Derek will be deeply missed, but his spirit and love of the game will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
Funeral is due to take place at 11:00 on Friday 21st August at St. Peters Church, Little Rissington.
