It is with great sadness that I have to inform you that another stalwart of Headington Bowls Club has passed away. Brian Ward who passed away on 16th September 2025 was a member of Headington for over 20 years, a lovely chap who virtually started cutting the bowls green as soon he was a member.
Even after he stopped bowling he still cut the Green every Tuesday morning and he was a good bowler. Before he joined Headington he played and cut the green at Bicester Bowls Club. Brians funeral service to be held at St Swithuns, Merton on Thursday 30th October 2025 at 11.30am
Followed by a committal at North Oxford Crematorium. Tackley at 1.00pm.
