Very sad news that Annie Gilkes lost her fight against a brain tumour on Monday 3rd February.
She was a popular bowler in the Banbury area. Having started her bowling at Adderbury / Greenhill where she was their delegate in 2008 and then joined Banbury Central and Banbury Borough Bowls Clubs she played many matches for the county and qualified and played at Leamington in the Nationals.
The family have already held a private funeral but Barry said they may hold a celebration of Annie's life in the near future.
Our thoughts have been with Barry and his family at this very sad time
