Very sad news just received, that Cynthia Petersen passed away last night (18 June 2024).

Cynthia was a member of Oxford City and County Bowls Club for many years, Supporter of the County for many years, and President of BOL in 2005. She also represented the County on numerous occasions at Leamington in the Nationals. Thoughts and condolences to her family at this sad time.

Cynthia’s funeral will take place on Tuesday July 16th at 12 o’clock at the North Oxford Crematorium OX5. 3ER. There will be family flowers only. Donations will be for Dementia UK. They may be sent to Jerrams Brothers . 18 Kidlington Centre. Kidlington OX5 2DL or on the day at the Crematorium. Please wear bright colours as Cynthia was never one to want to wear black to funerals. There will be a wake after the funeral at Sturdys Castle pub which is only a short distance down the road. Every is welcome to join us there.
