It is with great sadness to advise you that Bryan Buckingham passed away peacefully at home on Thursday 21st December.
His funeral will be held at 2.00pm on Tuesday 16th January at North Oxon Crematorium, Tackley and afterwards at Witney Town Bowls Club. (Donations to Helen & Douglas House).
Bryan was a great stalwart of the County and Witney Town over many years and will be sadly missed.
C.W adds: Brian was one of my favourite people to play with and against . A witty man full of anecdotes, observations and comments, always amusing , never negative , he could make any game enjoyable, at whatever level, simply by his presence, a rare gift.
In later years , through ill health , he watched more bowls than he played, but it was always a pleasure to see him, on League night especially, sitting in front of Witney Town clubhouse, exchanging words with everyone as they arrived to play, and they in turn wished him well.
He will be sadly missed.
