Jim Trinder sadly passed away in Mid-April and his funeral is on 14 May, leaving  Rutten Lane, Yarnton at 1.15 pm. He was a well known bowler for the  Oxford University Press Bowling club.

Chris weller writes:   Jim Trinder worked for many years at British Leyland at Cowley before joining his wife Mary at Yarnton Nurseries GC as Goods Inwards Supervisor until retirement.

Jim and Mary both played bowls for OUP, and Jim was also a respected County Umpire and could often be found supervising important matches around the County.
Jim was never short of an opinion on almost any subject , but equally had a good sense of humour and enjoyed a joke and a laugh.
He conveyed his love of bowls to his grandson Nathan Lewis who has played for Oxfordshire at the highest level.
He was also a VIP annually in the Yarnton Nurseries Xmas grotto, a role I know he enjoyed very much and looked forward to. Condolences to Sue Phillip and the rest of Jim's family.
