The Semi-Finals and Final of the County Senior Fours was played at Chipping Norton  Bowls Club yesterday (July 11).
Unfortunatly only one Semi-Final was able to be played with Carterton sadly having to pull out when one of their players went down with Covid symptoms.
The Semi-Final that did take place was between Kidlington (Alan Rowe,Bob Wright,Jim Feeley and Paul McGrath) and Adderbury (Mick Jeffs,Brian Ray,Phil French and Phil Gladden)
Both rinks got away to an even start and on end 6 the score was 8-6; then slowly Kidlington pulled away with some excellent
bowling by all four of the rink but Phil pulled back to be behind 13-10 on end 10..This proved to be the last time Adderbury scored and Paul's men won 20-10
The Final then became between Kidlington and Headington (Bernir May,Paul Comley,Ray Gaskins and Howard Watts)
An even start by both rinks  and the score at end 6 was 7-4 in favour of Kidlington. Some excellent bowling from Kidlington moved the score onto 17-6 by end 11.Howard then picked up a 2 then a 5 to be behind 17-13 end 13.Paul then took the next two ends to win the match 19-13
Well done to the Kidlington Four who now represent the County at the National Finals
Huge thanks to Chipping Norton for hoasting the day an outstanding lunch provided by Roberta Jarvie and her band of
