Many thanks to Sue Mayo and Vera Logue for the refreshments provided all day at City and County.

Played at Sutton BC, Surrey.

Plenty of enthusiasm and positive play but unfortunately the game did not go our way and the overall result was a loss of 107 shots for BOL and 144 for Sussex, with a win on two rinks.

A big thank you to Sutton for their hospitality, especially after the match when we extended our stay  in the bar due a delay with the coach broken down and a very late return to Oxford.

Thanks to the team for their cheerfulness and fortitude.

Also many thanks for the hosts, Kidlington Bowls Club, for their hospitality and welcoming drinks on arrival.  And the refreshments during the day, including the delicious lemon cake and scones with jam and cream.   Thanks also go to the two umpires who supervised the whole proceedings.
