Ladies Pairs Champions

Played at City and County on a very wet evening Monday 2nd August, Lorraine Kuhler and  Katherine Hawes (City and County) went into a very commanding lead against Helen Skidmore and Barbara Thorne (West Witney) and after 10 ends the West Witney ladies conceded with  the score of  2 shots to 25 for the Pairs Champions of Lorraine and Katherine representing Oxfordshire at the Leamington Nationals.

 

Senior Fours Finalists

Played at Kidlington BC on Friday 23rd July 2021 between Mo Cox (Banbury Central) v Angela Ives (Banbury Borough)

After a hard fought game with some excellent bowling and very tight heads they were tied at 14 all with one end to play and Central won by one shot. The winners representing Oxfordshire will be Banbury Central skipped by Mo Cox with her team of Eloise Jones, Gill Hunt and Mary Tee.

With grateful thanks to the ladies of Kidlington BC for their hospitality and cups of tea.

 

County Fours Finalists

This was played at Oxford City and County on Saturday 24th July 2021:

Oxford City and County skipped by Lorraine Kuhler versus Banbury Central

The winners Banbury Central, skipped by Helen Young with Carole Galletly, Pat Ray, and Caroline Campion will play at Leamington on the opening day of Leamington, Thursday 19th August.

 

The U25 Pairs finalwas played at Banbury Chestnuts on Sunday 25th July 2021. 

 The winners were Katie Bland and Jazzmin Alder, with a very competent display of bowling, going to Leamington.

The County Singles Final was played at City and County on Saturday 31st July between Margaret Morris and Katherine Hawes saw Katherine go into a commanding lead at 10 ends of 13-7 and stayed ahead to clinch her place at Leamington by 21 shots to 11.

 

2 Wood SinglesWhich again featured Margaret Morris against Katherine Hawes, in which both players were soaked to the skin by torrential rain in a nip and tuck game with the score at 14 ends of 8 shots to 7. Then Katherine managed to get ahead with a final score of 13 shots to 8 to also represent Oxfordshire at Leamington in this competition.
