White Bowls
The World Bowls Board has approved the use of White Bowls, adding that they prefer the rings of the bowls to be coloured.
GPC
The next GPC meeting is at City and County on Wednesday April 9th, starting at 7.00 pm
Discounted Sports Facilities
As mentioned in the July GPC minutes, West Oxfordshire County Council are supporting local sportsmen and women through discounted fees at their leisure centres in Carterton, Chipping Norton, and Witney. There are three levels of support:
Gold
Free entry for athletes at national or international standard.
Silver
50% reduction on entry fee for those performing at regional status.
Bronze
25% reduction on entry fee for those performing at county level.
Put into bowls terms, anybody of international status or who has qualified for Worthing could be eligible for free entry.
Home Counties League or regional qualifiers of national competitions could get 50% off.
County players could get 25% off.
